Mark Fisher

Chief Executive Officer

Prior to being named CEO of Helix Traffic Solutions, Mark was CEO of Envoy Solutions, a $3 billion diversified distributor and solution provider. During his tenure, he built the company into a national platform via organic growth and 30+ acquisitions with approximately 4000 associates. Before Envoy Solutions, he was President of Univar Solutions, North America and has also held leadership roles at leading international businesses including AT&T, McKesson, and Owens & Minor. Early in his career, Mark served in the U.S. Navy for almost decade. He has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from San Diego State University.

Robby Wood

Chief Operating Officer

Robby oversees operations of all Helix companies, including process implementation and leadership development. Robby began his career at STC in the field, and worked his way up over 20 years. His professional achievements include being a graduate of ARTBA Young Executive Development Program, ATSSA Leadership Program, ATSSA Government Relations Committee Member, ATSSA Temporary Traffic Control Committee Member, ATSSA PAC Committee Member, TRBA Board Member, and Chairman of TRBA Specialty Committee.

When he’s not at work, you can find Robby at home with his daughters, or outdoors playing golf.

Jim McMahon

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

As Senior VP & CFO of Helix Traffic Solutions, Jim brings over 40 years of experience in finance. Jim attended Marquette University and graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance and is a CPA licensed in both Tennessee and Illinois. He began his career in public accounting in 1982 with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Chicago and then joined ServiceMaster in 1988, initially as Vice President of Internal Audit, then as Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis and then moved to Memphis to serve as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Terminix. After leaving ServiceMaster in 2003, Jim served as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for the Trauma Division of Smith & Nephew before joining American Residential Services in 2006 in a similar role. In October 2015 Jim was recognized as CFO of the Year by the Memphis Business Journal. Jim serves a director or committee member on numerous boards in the Memphis community, including the Chairman’s Circle for the Greater Memphis Chamber, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis, the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, the National Leadership Council for Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, the finance council for the Catholic Diocese of Memphis, and Ave Maria Nursing Home and formerly served on the CFO Advisory Committee for ALSAC (the national fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital). Jim and his wife Denice live in Germantown, TN.

Sean Emmer

Executive Vice President of Operations

As Vice President of Operations, Sean Emmer oversees strategic planning and operations at the divisional level. He is also responsible for the development and implementation of leadership programs and the financial review and development of strategic efforts to aid in cost savings.

Sean started his career as a police officer. He then transitioned to traffic management at Superior Traffic Control (STC) where he worked for six years before joining Helix. At STC, he served as Superintendent, Brand Manager, and VP of Operations before becoming President. His passion for leadership, problem-solving and strategic planning makes him optimally positioned for the position of Vice President of Operations at Helix.

Prior to joining the police academy, Sean studied radiation safety at Moraine Valley Community College. When not at Helix, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and working out.

Reid Parkhurst

Executive Vice President of Safety & Risk

As the Executive Director of Safety & Risk, Reid Parkhurst brings more than 35 years of professional safety, health, environmental, and security experience. Reid pro-actively leads the Helix family of businesses to best in class performance while fostering a culture of zero harm.

Prior to Helix, Reid served as the Director of Safety at Industrial Inspection & Analysis Inc., a private equity owned service provider of analytical and nondestructive visual and mechanical inspections. Reid has led the HSSE function at other companies including BP, Recall Information Management, and AZZ WSI.

Reid graduated from Central Oklahoma University with a BS in Industrial Safety Technology and a minor in Industrial Hygiene. Reid enjoys all things outdoors especially spearfishing and spending time with family and friends.

Chad Price

Vice President of Operations

As Vice President of Operations, Chad’s responsibilities include overseeing operations and leadership development at multiple divisions in the Helix family.  Chad has a legal background, and he gained additional leadership skills while working as a construction foreman.  He worked in traffic control management and leadership at the divisional level for five years prior to joining Helix.  Chad graduated from LSU and from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law where he served as a member of the Law Review.  While not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children.  He also enjoys spending time hunting and fishing.

Scotty Nickerson

Vice President of Operations

As Vice President of Operations, Scotty’s responsibilities include overseeing operations and leadership development at multiple divisions in the Helix family.

Scotty began his career in farming before transitioning to the construction services industry. He served as the President of Quail Construction (Quail) for four years before joining Helix. During this time, Quail nearly doubled its number of operating locations and quadrupled its number of employees.

Scotty received his BS in Business Entrepreneurship, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University with honors from Barrett, the Honors College.

When not at work, Scotty enjoys fishing, hiking, and spending time with his wife and kids.

Ryon Sanders

Executive Vice President of Strategic Development

As Executive Vice President of Strategic Development, Ryon is focused on growth strategy across the Helix organization. He joined Helix Traffic Solutions because of his passion for a dynamic professional environment that aligns with his track record of building successful businesses through efficient revenue operations and business analytics.

Ryon brings over 18 years of experience in the roadway safety industry. Prior to Helix he was the VP of Sales for Street Smart, the largest traffic safety equipment supplier in North America. As an influential voice in the traffic industry, Ryon is involved in speaking events, publications, and serving various national council/committee chair seats. Among his peers he is seen as an industry leading expert in innovative roadway technologies.

Away from work, Ryon is a diehard Dallas Mavericks fan and enjoys spending time with his wife, three sons, and their giant schnauzer.

Brian Sinar

Vice President of Strategic Development

As Vice President of Strategic Development, Brian leads a team that focuses on national client relationships, strategic growth opportunities, and digital media content. This team works with each Helix company to support their unique market demands and challenges.

Brian has been in the traffic control industry for 15 years. Prior to joining Helix, Brian was President of Southeastern Traffic Supply. Brian led STS for 5 years where he collaborated with department heads and inspired them to lead their teams effectively and efficiently. Brian spearheaded the expansion of 5 new facility locations throughout Florida. During this time, STS experienced considerable growth financially, invested in advanced employee development, and increased the company awareness on safety.

Brian graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in Construction Management. Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 kids at the beach, cheering for his kids in sports, and golfing.

Chris Kane

Executive Vice President of Corporate Development

As Executive Vice President of Corporate Development of Helix Traffic Solutions, Chris leads the company’s M&A efforts. He focuses on expanding Helix’s footprint by establishing partnerships with family and founder-owned traffic control and flagging businesses throughout North America. He has extensive experience working on acquisitions of family and founder-owned businesses. Chris enjoys structuring transactions that allow for continued growth and opportunities for the acquired business, its owners, and employees, while maintaining the unique culture and family dynamic.

Chris previously served as EVP of Corporate Development at PureStar, North America’s largest provider of laundry services to the hospitality industry.  Prior to joining PureStar, he was an investment banker at Moelis & Company focused on M&A activities across a broad range of industries.

Chris received his BS from Boston College and an MBA from Georgetown University. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.

Rob Smith

Vice President of Talent Development

As Vice President of Talent Development, Rob ensures that supervisors and managers of Helix companies receive the necessary resources and information to effectively lead towards strategic goals. Rob aims to retain employees, increase productivity, and ultimately improve business outcomes and results. Before joining the Helix team, he proudly served our country for 30 years as a Master Chief in the U.S. Navy on more than seven warships with more than 14 deployments around the world. When Rob’s not at work, he enjoys spending time on the golf course and with his wife and four daughters.

Maria Smith

Director of Human Resources

Maria leads Helix’s Human Resources department to ensure the right team is in place to drive Helix’s success. Her responsibilities include employee development, talent acquisition, compensation, and benefits. A respected and accomplished HR Executive, Maria spent six years as the Human Resources Administrator for Superior Traffic Control (STC) before joining Helix. Maria attended Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico for Business Management and holds her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification. Maria is married with four daughters and she loves traveling, going to the gym, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Flossie Holmes

Vice President of Integration

Flossie is responsible for the financial leadership of all Helix companies. Flossie graduated from Shorter College with her B.B.A. in Accounting and received her CPA license in 2007 from the State of Tennessee. From there, she went on to obtain her CMA certificate from the Institute of Management Accountants in 2010 and in 2012, was awarded the CGMA from the AICPA. Before joining Helix, Flossie served as Director of Finance at Superior Traffic Control.

When not at Helix, she’s spending time with her husband, children and tending to her farm in Rockvale, Tennessee.

Chris Wilder

Director of IT

A seasoned IT leader, Chris oversees Helix’s IT direction, ensuring seamless operations and robust security. With a proven track record in driving digital transformation, he has successfully led IT initiatives at prominent organizations including Graywolf Industrial, the Department of Defense, and Tempur-Pedic International. His background spans a wide range of industries and technological solutions. Chris possesses strong technical acumen and is certified in Security, Virtualization, and Project Management, making him a valuable asset to the Helix team.

Joe Atwood

Director of Purchasing

As the Director of Purchasing, Joe Atwood brings with him extensive experience in the following industries: Electroplating Industry where he served as Financial Controller, and developed and implemented QS 9000/ISO 9000; Petroleum Industry he served as Refinery Office Manager over Crude Gathering and Refined Products Accounting as well as IT Development; Construction Industry serving as Purchasing Manager with over 15 years’ experience in developing strategic partnerships with preferred vendors for product, and logistics based upon projected savings, and performance data.
Joe is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in accounting. Joe enjoys anything outdoors with a preference for hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with family and friends.
